Why is it cheaper to replace the furnace and AC together?
Most of the cost of an install is labor, permits, refrigerant line work, and electrical. Doing both units on one visit shares all of that. Splitting the jobs into two separate years means paying for that setup twice.
Do I really need to replace both units at once?
Not always. If your furnace is under about eight years old and running well, we will tell you to keep it. This offer makes sense when both units are aging, when your AC still uses R-22, or when the furnace blower cannot support the efficiency of the new AC.
